Eve is often remembered for one moment, but her story is so much bigger than the bite of forbidden fruit. As the first woman, she carries the weight of beginnings-creating, companionship, temptation, consequence, and hope. In this quilt-along, we'll slow down and study Eve's story stitch by stitch, just as we piece our quilts: thoughtfully, prayerfully, and with grace. Each block invites us to look beyond familiar assumptions and into God's heart for women, learning how even the earliest story from Scripture still speaks truth, beauty, and redemption into our lives today.
- What does Genesis tell us about Eve's creation and purpose, and how does that shape our understanding of women today? (Genesis 2:18-25)
- What can we learn from the way Eve engages with the serpent, especially about discernment and truth? (Genesis 3:1-5)
- In Genesis 3, Eve is often blamed more heavily than Adam-what does the text actually say about responsibility?
- How did the desire for wisdom influence Eve's decision, and how can good desires become distorted? (Genesis 3:6)
- After the fall, how does God respond to Eve, and what does this reveal about his character? (Genesis 3:13-16)
